Please have your unique Securityholder Reference Number (SRN) handy in order to be able to access your information. This number can be found on your Tax Voucher. You can, if you wish, transfer your Shares into someone else’s name by way of a gift. Alternatively, you may wish to add another person’s name to your holding to make him or her a joint holder. Up to three additional names can be added. If you choose to do so, you should note that many documents relating to your shareholding will need to be signed by all joint holders.
In order to transfer your Shares by way of a gift, either into someone else’s name or to add joint holders, you will need to complete an internal Transfer Form or a Stock Transfer Form and send it to the Registrar.

For address changes, please write to the Registrar quoting your Securityholder Reference Number (SRN), which is shown on your Nominee Statement or your Tax Voucher. Please detail your old and new address in the correspondence. For name changes, please write to the Registrar enclosing an original or copy, certified by a solicitor, bank or notary, of a document showing your new name.
Please note that this will only change the details held by the Registrar. If you are also a Bradford & Bingley customer, you will need to advise your branch of these changes separately.
If you wish to withdraw from the Bradford & Bingley Nominee Account and receive a Share Certificate, you should complete a Nominee Account Withdrawal Form and send it to the Registrar. An administration fee of £10 will be charged for withdrawals, and you should enclose a cheque made payable to Computershare Investor Services PLC with your form.
Under normal circumstances Bradford & Bingley plc will pay a dividend twice a year in May and October.
Dividends on UK shares are subject to income tax. If you only pay income tax at either the starting or basic rate, the tax credit attached to the dividend means that you have no further tax to pay. However, if you pay tax at a higher rate, you may pay extra tax on your dividends. If paid by cheque a Tax Voucher will be sent to you at the time your dividend is paid, for mandated holders a Consolidated Tax Voucher will be sent with the interim dividend. If you are a non-taxpayer, tax credits on dividends are not repayable to you.
Dividends will be paid to you by cheque to the address held by the Registrar or they can be credited to a suitable bank or building society account.

All Shareholders can buy or sell Shares using the Bradford & Bingley Telephone Share Dealing Service. This service is provided by our Registrars, Computershare, and is available by telephoning 0844 472 6003. You should have your Securityholder Reference Number (SRN) ready when making the call. The fees for using this service are 0.5% of the value of the transaction, subject to a £20 minimum.
An Internet Share Dealing Service has also been established with our Registrars. To access the service log onto www.computershare.com/dealing/uk. You should have your SRN ready when accessing this service and a bank debit card will be required for purchases. The fees for using this service are 0.5% of the value of the transaction, subject to a £15 minimum.
In addition, if your Shares are held in the Bradford & Bingley Nominee Account you can buy or sell Shares through the Bradford & Bingley Nominee Share Dealing Facility.
This is a postal facility and is operated by the Registrar. A Purchase Instruction Form and a Sale Instruction Form are included in the Welcome Pack that is sent to shareholders at the time that they first purchase Shares. Further forms can be obtained from the Registrar. You cannot give instructions over the phone, by facsimile or via email, and your instructions must be sent to the Registrar - please do not take or send the forms to any Bradford & Bingley branch or office.
If you wish to purchase additional Shares, you should complete a Purchase Instruction Form and return it in the reply paid envelope supplied, together with a cheque for the amount you wish to invest, made payable to Computershare Investor Services PLC. You should note that the appropriate charge, detailed below will be deducted from this amount before the Shares are purchased.
If you wish to sell all or some of your Shares, you should complete a Sale Instruction Form and return it in the reply paid envelope. You should note that the appropriate charge, detailed below, will be deducted from your sale proceeds and a cheque for the balance will be sent to you.

This facility is only available in respect of Shares held in the Bradford & Bingley Nominee Account. If you hold Shares in any other way, e.g. by a share certificate, you will not be able to use this facility, but you can buy or sell Shares through the Telephone Share Dealing Service, a stockbroker or other share dealing service.

The Annual General Meeting is held in April. Details will be included in the Annual Report information to be issued in March if you have chosen to receive this.
No. During March all certificated shareholders and those shareholders in the Nominee that have so requested will receive a mailing pack including a formal notice of the AGM, and a voting form that will enable you to vote by post if you are unable to attend the meeting. You need to complete and return the voting form by a specified date before the AGM. You may also be able to appoint someone to attend the AGM and vote on your behalf, your "proxy".
Full details and instructions are given in the pack, which also includes either a full Annual Report & Accounts or a Summary Financial Statement. Also, shareholders will be able to submit their proxy votes via the internet. Details will be included in the mailing pack containing the AGM Notice of Meeting.
If you hold your shares in certificated form you will automatically receive a proxy voting form, AGM Documents and the Annual Review/Summary Financial Statement or the Annual Review and Accounts.
If you hold your shares in the Bradford & Bingley Nominee Account you will be given the opportunity to choose whether you wish to receive the Annual Review/Summary Financial Statement and associated voting form and AGM documents.
Also you can elect to “receive” your documents and vote via the web. To do this you need to register your email address via the Registrar website.

As part of the demutualisation of Bradford & Bingley Building Society and pursuant to the terms of the Transfer Agreement, Bradford & Bingley plc sold all remaining unclaimed shares in March 2004.
Following the sale of the unclaimed shares, eligible claimants are entitled to claim the proceeds from the sale of the shares plus accumulated dividends (less the cost of selling the shares) for a period of nine years following the date of the sale. No interest will be payable.
