This code is a description of what Bradford & Bingley deems to be acceptable business relationship practice.
All staff involved in a purchasing decision are expected to:
1. Be Objective
DO choose suppliers who can meet the requirements of the business
DON'T make decisions biased by personal opinions or relationships
2. Act With Integrity
DO conduct all dealings professionally and in accordance with the law
DO make sure all promises are kept
DO follow up any oral commitments in writing
3. Be Fair
DO follow the supplier selection procedures outlined in the Best Practice Guides
DO ensure any information is issued to all relevant suppliers simultaneously
DON'T deal differently with suppliers of the same service
4. Avoid Conflicts Of Interest
DO ensure that any interests are declared
DON'T have an undeclared interest in any company who:

Any breach of this Code could result in disciplinary action being taken under the Group's Disciplinary and Grievance Procedure. The level of action depends on the nature of the breach.
