Dress standards and general appearance are extremely important in promoting a professional image for the Group; therefore it is important that employees in customer facing roles are expected to wear conventional business dress.
Individual employees have primary responsibility for being aware of, and following, the business dress code policy.
The policy covers all employees of any Bradford & Bingley Group company. This policy also covers agency employees, contractors and consultants.
Conventional Business dress includes:
Tailored Suit (individuals working in branches should wear a suit of a dark colour)
Shirt with Collar and Tie
Tailored Skirt/Trousers/t/Dress/Trouser Suit
Formal Blouse
Tailored Knitwear
Tailored Top
Smart Dress Shoes/Sling back shoes
Formal Traditional Dress
Employees in non-customer facing roles have the option of dressing in conventional business wear or smart business casual dress.
Body Piercing & Tattoos
The only visible body piercing acceptable for male and female employees is conventional piercing such as ear lobes or piercing for cultural reasons. If you undergo unconventional body piercing you are required to remove any visible jewellery relating to this piercing for work, whether you are in a customer or non customer-facing role.
Tattoos must be covered at work.
