Describe your current role
As a Sales Associate at Bradford & Bingley my role is very varied and ranges from dealing with everyday transactions to more complex queries and, most importantly, letting our customers know all about the products and services we offer.
What attracted you to initially to apply to B&B?
After spotting a notice in the branch window, I went inside to find out more and thought the branch had a great atmosphere with really friendly staff. I then went home, researched the company a bit more and decided it was the place for me!
What do you find is the best thing about working for B&B?
The best thing about working for Bradford & Bingley would have to be the relationship we have with our customers. Unlike most banks we really have the opportunity to spend time with and get to know every person who comes through our door and it's because of this we can ensure we're truly giving them the right advice.
Briefly describe the culture at B&B
At Bradford and Bingley, everyone matters. We have relatively small branches so each Sales Associate has the opportunity to develop and shine. Hard work is rewarded and if you are struggling, there is always support available from the Branch and Area manager.
Have you achieved anything you're particularly proud of since working here?
We really work as a team within the branch and our efforts have helped us win several awards, one of which we used to take a limo trip to London. It was a fantastic day and spurred us on to hopefully win many more such awards in the future!
Provide a brief overview of your career to date with B&B
I have now been with Bradford and Bingley for nearly two years and through both training and practical experience have been able to acquire a wide range of knowledge about financial services and dealing with customers. If they choose to, Sales Associates can develop their careers as either Branch Managers or Mortgage Advisors.
